Day 52 - Excavation and chill

Yesterday Steph, Tom, Kate and I headed to Levera at 5:45am for excavation and beach profiling. Now a team of 4 with me being the only volunteer left. We measured out 7 nests because the weather wasn’t looking great so we didn’t want to be too ambitious. I think we found 5 of them. At one point whilst I was removing eggs from the nests it poured down and I was absolutely soaking, but we powered through and finished excavating all the nests we found. We decided to abandon beach profiling as the weather started going down hill again. I had planned to go to Bathway for the afternoon but there was a huge storm and lots of rain so I stayed at the house all day again.

Tom made a lasagna and salad for dinner which was delicious. He amused himself by writing Tom in olives on top of his lasagna aha. After dinner I read a little and headed to bed ready for boat Survey today!
