Day 48 - Excavation and Sulphur Springs

Yesterday we we left the house at 5:45am to carry out morning survey on Levera to check for nest tracks and hatchlings tracks. We found two nests that had hatched and measured their distances from the nearest markers. We then measured out 12 nests between markers T and U for excavation, we found 8 out of 12 nests which wasn’t bad. I found 2 straight away but couldn’t find my third. We then removed the eggs and recorded the data of what stages the unhatched eggs were in. We found an egg with full term twins! Sad to see them dead but very interesting to see them in the egg together. On the way back to the house we stopped at Aggies Bar to see her Puppies which are very fat!

Once we got back to the house I showered and chilled for a bit, I had avocado and egg on toast for lunch before Marina and I went to the Sulphur Spring in River Sallee for the afternoon. We had the full mud and cocoa butter oil treatment 😊. Afterwards we had a ting and then walked back to the house. Steph made a Thai green veg curry for dinner which was yum. After dinner the 4 of us played Bananagrams. I actually won 1 game for the first time ever 😊.
