Day 47- Excavation and Grenville

yesterday morning Kate, Tom, Steph, Marina and I carried out morning survey and excavation. We excavated 10 nests, I wasn’t successful in finding mine ☹️. It was a sweaty and smelly morning. We came back to the house and showered and had lunch. Then after lunch Marina and I headed to Grenville to get snacks and have a look around. We went in lots of different clothes shops and supermarkets. I made friends with a local guy selling Grenada crafts on the road side wearing an arsenal top, he was impressed I supported them too.

Marina got a snow cone off a local mans stall made with a local cherry syrup, condensed milk and shredded ice. Whilst we were there she told me she’s going to be leaving early, she had a meeting with Kate earlier in the day and decided it’s best if she goes home Monday because she doesn’t enjoy excavations and that’s all we’ll be doing the next 2 weeks so she’s going early. When we got back I painted my nails :)

We then got the bus back to Rose Hill and walked to the house. Kate cooked dinner, she made barbecue chicken thigh and leg with mixed veg cooked in coconut milk and rice and beans mix. It was very yummy.
