Day 2

Today I had a chilled morning, had breakfast finished my book and begun the second one :) once everyone was awake, four of us decided to go to the nearest town to get some snacks. We got a Taxi to Sateurs where I got some biscuits, we also walked up to leapers hill where in 1961 after France invaded the remaining Caribs jumped from the cliffs. Here we also bought handmade nutmeg ice cream ๐Ÿฆ.

After our trip into town I went about my daily duties of cleaning ๐Ÿงน the house ๐Ÿ . Once that was done I did some more reading and then Poppy, Talitha and I went with Tom to do beach profiling of Levera. This is done once a week and it when we measure the distance from markers at the back of the beach to the vegetation and high water mark. This is because the beach is constantly changing, getting smaller and larger in different areas, so the data can be used to map what the beach looked like through the year.

On return I read some more and then  we played card games again before dinner. Kate cooked us chickpea curry with veg rice and carrots, green beans and plantain. Very yum!

I then packed my bags for my first night shift!
