Greece Day 14 (Half Way!)

Today was a pretty busy day because Callum and Niels had their day off and Mathilde was getting a flight home and Lewis left yesterday so there was only Amy, Adam, Florentine and Zonne here and Zonne can't clean tanks with her thumb because it can't get wet and Flo had PA all afternoon. Adam and I cleaned Chanel (tank and turtle) and took her to Mike for her treatment before I cleaned Kosmos (the green turtle) (tank and turtle). Mathilde left around 10:30am. We have run out of fish and the Zoo don't have any to donate yet but its okay because reptiles don't eat every day in the wild and the turtles that are critical are being tube fed with a soy powder mix so there was no feeding. Moody was the first big tank to be cleaned (Adam and Zonne) and then Flo and I cleaned Thekla (Big tank) and she was moved into a small tank after being cleaned and prepared for release as she is going to be released tomorrow! I then cleaned Fajita (big tank) and her tank quickly because she was quite stressed. Adam cleaned Kiki (tank and turtle) and took her to Mike for treatment while Zonne and Amy took Hope to the vet for an Xray of her flipper because she has stopped using it when swimming. I cleaned Hope's tank whilst Zonne and Amy were gone.

After lunch I rinsed the Chlorine Bucket, took the bins out, put on towel washes and hung up dry towels, took out the recylcing, swept the turtle wagon and laundry room and took tank temperatures. Zonne cleaned the public toilet and Adam wshed syringes from tube feed and mopped the decking. We managed to get done at 2pm! I think Mike likes Adam and I now, he said he'll cry for a week when we leave and that we were lots of help today :)  Then Flo finished at 3pm in the shop and Flo and I went to the beach whilst Adam waited for a delivery for Erini of gloves, gauze and other stock. Adam then joined us on the beach and we went for a swim.

Adam and I returned to the RC, showered and went for dinner at Zahoulis, Adam had a chicken souvlaki skewer and a pork souvlaki skewer and I had a chicken pitta and we shared courgette fries. We are staying at the RC tonight as it's my turn for PM. When we got back from dinner we put on more towels to wash and folded all the dry ones, before locking up.

In reply to the comment on the last post - Makayla is from Canada, Callum is from Guernsey, Niels and Zonne are from the Netherlands, Mathlide is from Luxembourg, Florentine is from Germany, Lewis is from Cheshire (UK) and Amy is from Cumbria (UK)
